Welcome to Phoenix School Online!

Phoenix is a small, rural, community school in Headingley, Manitoba. It is home to 160 early years students from Kindergarten to Grade Five. View a map showing our location.Use the School Locator to find your catchment area.

Phoenix has a dedicated and experienced staff, an active Parent Council, and a learning community of caring and committed families.The Phoenix staff aims to nurture the whole child and to provide a safe, caring, and challenging educational environment that promotes learning and achievement for all students. We recognize and celebrate the diverse learning styles, interests, and talents of our students and strive to offer a rich variety of meaningful learning experiences that will inspire innovative thinkers and confident learners.

2014-2015 Kindergarten Opening Day Conferences

Opening Day Conferences for Kindergarten students will be held on September 3, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on September 4, 2014 from 12:15 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.  

Please phone the school's office at 204-889-5053 the week of August 25 through August 29 to schedule your 15 minute conference time with Mrs. Turabian.

We look forward to seeing you and your child at the Opening Day Conferences.  Please bring your child's school supplies and a cheque in the amount of $7.50 made payable to "Phoenix School" for your child's Agenda when you come to your scheduled conference time.

2014-2015 Opening Day "Meet & Greet" for Grades 1 to 5

Opening Day "Meet & Greet" for students in Grades 1 to 5 will be held on September 3, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on September 4, 2014 from 12:15 p.m. to 2:45 p.m..  "Meet & Greet" for Grades 1 to 5 do not require a scheduled appointment time.

Please drop by your child's classroom when it is convenient for you during the dates and times noted above.  We look forward to seeing you and your child at the Opening Day "Meet & Greet".  Please bring your child's school supplies and a cheque in the amount of $7.50 made payable to "Phoenix School" for your child's Agenda, when you come to your "Meet & Greet" visit.

2014-2015 Kindergarten Registration

Children who will be 5 years old by December 31, 2014 (born in 2009) are eligible to register for Kindergarten for September, 2014.  If you have not yet registered your child for Kindergarten, you may contact the school's office.  Phoenix School's office will be open to the general public on August 20, 2014.  Student Registration Forms for Kindergarten are available to be picked up from the school's office.

School Hours
The school will be closed from June 30, 2014 until August 19, 2014 for Summer Break. The School's Office will be open to the general public on August 20, 2014.

The school office hours are 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Monday to Friday.
Student Entry: 8:20 a.m.
Lunch Break: 11:18 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.
Regular dismissal time: 3:00 p.m.
Early dismissal time: 2:30 p.m.

Bus Cancellations
In the event of extremely cold weather (a wind chill hazard of -45Ā°C or greater) buses will be canceled and students will need alternate transportation. The School Division will contact all parents to advise them of bus cancellations. The news media is also alerted to cancellations and Division websites are updated to reflect any announcements. LUNCH MILK PROGRAM
Tickets for Chocolate Milk and White Milk may be purchased by completing the order form and sending it to school with your child. (Please make cheques payable to PHOENIX SCHOOL)
HOT LUNCH PROGRAM
